My Experience. Creative Direction. Design Management. Strategic Planning

In my current role I sit on the board at Octopus Group as Creative Director. I oversee the creative direction for all content produced by the agency and manage my own P&L. I create global advertising and marketing campaigns for brands including Vodafone, BlueJeans, Heineken, Unilever, Microsoft and Shell. This involves developing brand positioning and campaign strategy through to activational and digital executions, helping to brand awareness, drive sales, MQLs, conversation and social engagement. Below is a snap shot of my skill set developed throughout my career:


My current role requires me to conceptualise ideas for clients that are strong enough to live through the line with earned media at its heart. I have also conceptualised ideas for specific platforms like Amazon to encourage additional media spend and repeat business.


I oversee and provide creative direction for all types of campaigns and continue to aim for award winning work. I also maintain a high bar for creative execution and implementation, whilst define scalable user experiences across connected devices.


I had responsibility for facilitating the launch of multiple new advertising platforms and products within the European market. This is achieved through forcasting design skill support and approving 'go to market' Service Level Agreements.


I work with strategists and planners to develop brand narratives and deliver workshops in order to help companies arrive at an identity they can be proud of. This involves developing Play Decks and Brand Books that unify creative and brand development direction.


It is a requirement of my job to deliver creative workshops, pitches and consultations for client and agency alike. I use research and insights to inform my platform thinking. I also wrap data and user experience around any story telling to help educate and encourage innovation across multiple platforms.


Delivering monthly and quarterly business reviews to all my stakeholders is fundamental to my role. It allows me foresight into potential challenges and helps me plan team growth requirements.
