When PEPPADEW® launched its Yellow Piquanté Peppers into Waitrose for summertime, it wanted to boost awareness with a campaign that showcased the peppers’ flavour, flair, and versatility. Inspiring both creative foodies and novice cooks to play. Turning browsers into buyers.
Challange
To encourage chef's and Waitrose customers to try something new and communicate the versitility of the yellow Piquanté peppers.
Approach
I wanted to create a playful, inviting platform that communicated the versatility and origin of the yellow Piquanté pepper.
I developed the campaign 'Play with Sunshine. Aimed at inspiring and educating our audiences I crafted a key visual and worked with a studio to develop a wide range of recipes to show off the versatility of the product. This allowed me to build a campaign toolkit and working with the social media team to source, negotiate, and guide influencers to whip up their own mouthwatering recipes. Key to this was infusing the campaign with an extra helping of peppery playfulness that could be shared across socials and entice our target audience.
